Role Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join our dynamic and innovative team. As an Associate Data Scientist, you will work with the team to develop advanced analytical models for complex data science projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract insights from large datasets, develop predictive models, and help optimize business processes and drive growth. The ideal candidate should have a background in statistics, machine learning, and programming, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for turning raw data into actionable insights.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Deliver Data Science Projects: Work with your team to execute end-to-end data science projects, including data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, validation, and deployment.
Statistical Analysis: Assist in developing advanced statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and uncover patterns, trends, and correlations that provide valuable insights to support business objectives.
Machine Learning and Modelling: Assist in developing and implementing predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms and techniques, such as regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, natural language processing, and deep learning.
Data Visualization: Assist in creating clear and compelling visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team-members and cross-functional teams like engineering and product.
Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of your work.
Collaboration: Work closely with other data scientists and contribute to building a strong data science team.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and techniques.
Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:
Education: Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms
Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and data manipulation
Experience in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to think critically, and interpret complex data.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Continuous Learning: A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields.
Future Ready: Demonstrating curiosity and openness toward AI and emerging technologies, with a willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and share knowledge.
