Techable is an IT bootcamp that offers free, high-quality digital training to people with mobility disabilities. The program is developed by Betfair Romania Development in collaboration with the educational partner, Digital Stack and the social partner, Caiac SMile and is structured in three progressive stages, designed to help participants acquire essential digital skills and, ultimately, promote greater autonomy and inclusion in today's digital landscape.

Each year, we organise training programs for students and graduates who aspire to build a career in IT, helping them become better prepared for job interviews and for joining a team within a technology company. Investing in the next generation of tech talent is not just a priority, it is part of who we are.
But we asked ourselves a defining question: what if we extended this kind of preparation to those who, due to a lack of infrastructure, face significant difficulties in accessing learning resources and integrating into the job market?
That question became the foundation of Techable. We wanted to prove that people with mobility disabilities can have a rightful and successful place in the world of technology.
The opportunities that technology offers are vast, and we want to encourage everyone who dreams of an IT career to focus on their skills, not their limitations. At Betfair Romania Development, we believe that mobility should never limit the ability to build a successful professional path in tech.
Techable was born from this belief: that disability inclusion in tech is not just a social responsibility, it is an opportunity to unlock talent that the industry cannot afford to overlook.
Launching Techable required more than a vision, it required the right partners. We joined forces with two organisations that share our commitment to disability inclusion and accessible tech education: Digital Stack and Caiac SMile.
Digital Stack, who have been our trusted educational partners in student training programs, stood by us in this endeavour, and we are truly grateful for their dedication and involvement.
As the educational backbone of Techable, Digital Stack shaped the program curriculum and the evaluation process, ensuring the training meets the highest standards. Their experienced team guide every participant through a structured and meaningful learning journey, one that we hope marks the beginning of a rewarding professional path, filled with growth and achievement.
Equally vital to the success of Techable's first edition is Asociația Caiac SMile, our social partner responsible for candidates sourcing, connecting the program with the people who need it most.
Caiac SMile is a well-established organisation in the disability inclusion space. Through their events, they actively promote sports with a social impact, championing the integration of people with disabilities into society. They have been involved in creating numerous initiatives for people with disabilities, several of which have been developed in collaboration with national institutions.
Together, Digital Stack and Caiac SMile bring the expertise, the network, and the values that make Techable more than a training program; they make it a genuine pathway to workforce inclusion and opportunity.
Building on the success of its first edition, Techable returned in autumn 2025 and concluded in summer 2026, continuing its mission of making technology education more accessible for people with mobility disabilities.
The second edition attracted 92 applicants, with 54 participants beginning their learning journey through a structured programme focused on digital and technical skills development. Throughout the programme, participants progressed through three learning stages, covering AI productivity, programming fundamentals, and advanced web front-end development.
The journey culminated with 12 certified graduates, marking another important milestone for the programme and for each participant involved. Among them:
Beyond certification results, participant feedback confirmed the positive impact of the programme. 96.2% reported improved knowledge, 91.3% expressed overall satisfaction, 95.3% said they would highly recommend the programme, and attendance reached 95%.

As part of the 2nd edition, participants were invited to the Techable Get-Together, a specially designed three-day experience aimed at fostering connection, building community, and reminding every participant that they are not alone on this journey.
Day 1 - On the Slopes
The adventure began with a day on the snow, organised by our social partner Caiac SMile. Participants were taken to Bucscat Ski Resort, where, using adapted ski equipment, they enjoyed a full day of skiing — a powerful reminder that with the right tools and support, boundaries are made to be pushed.

Day 2 - At the Heart of Tech
On the second day, participants visited the Betfair Romania Development office in Cluj-Napoca. It was a memorable occasion, one where we had the privilege of hearing directly from Techable participants about their personal journeys, their resilience, and the transformative impact that inclusive IT training can have on the lives of people with disabilities in today's professional world. Their stories were, and continue to be, our greatest source of inspiration.
Day 3 - In the Saddle
The Techable Get-Together experience concluded on a high note, with participants visiting the stables at Wonderland Cluj Resort for a horse-riding experience, made fully accessible through adapted equipment. A fitting close to three days that proved, once again, that accessibility unlocks experiences, in sport, in life, and in tech.
Techable is proof that when we choose to look beyond the conventional, extraordinary things happen. It is proof that mobility should never define the boundaries of ambition. And it is proof that technology, when made truly accessible, has the power to change lives.
We are proud of every participant who has walked through this program; of their courage, their dedication, and the futures they are building for themselves. We are equally grateful of our partners who made it possible: Digital Stack, for shaping a world-class curriculum, and Caiac SMile, for connecting us with the people who deserve this opportunity the most.
