Public statement regarding organizational changes in Flutter UK & Ireland teams within Betfair Romania Development  

Betfair Romania Development is currently supporting proposed organizational changes connected to the wider Flutter UK & Ireland area of the business. This process is part of a broader transformation taking place across multiple Flutter locations, in response to significant increase in UK taxation within the industry. 

As part of this process, the required steps are being followed in the relevant locations, where colleagues who may be impacted are being engaged directly.  

In Cluj, the proposed changes will affect approximately 300 colleagues in UK & Ireland teams, who are expected to leave the business when the process concludes. Our priority is to ensure that the process is handled responsibly, transparently and in line with all applicable legal requirements, while providing support to our people throughout. 

This proposed change is not a reflection of individual or team performance. It is intended to simplify organizational structures, create a more efficient operating model and strengthen execution of the Flutter UKI strategy.  

Betfair Romania Development remains a strategic hub for Flutter, continuing to play an important role in supporting the Group’s global technology and product capabilities. As of September 2026, Betfair Romania Development employed approximately 2,400 people, including permanent employees and contractors.
