About Flutter Functions:
The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company
Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Romanian payroll and labor legislation, solid experience in payroll preparation and accounting, and a working background with Oracle ERP systems. This role is key to ensuring payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and financial integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, taxes, and social contributions in accordance with Romanian statutory regulations
- Collaborate closely with the HR team to ensure timely and precise input of payroll-related data
- Stay up to date with all changes in payroll and labor legislation; communicate impacts to stakeholders as necessary
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee payroll records at all times
- Review and process flexible benefits, supplementary compensation (overtime, shift differentials, bank holidays), and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Prepare and post monthly payroll journals by cost center for statutory and intra-group reporting, including reconciliations and variance analysis
- Utilize Oracle ERP to process payroll transactions and ensure proper integration with financial reporting
- Provide administrative support for the annual bonus, pay review, and flexible benefits programs
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external audit requirements
- Maintain high standards of data integrity, confidentiality, and consistency across payroll processes
- Support cost optimization initiatives by identifying payroll-related efficiency improvements
- Approve benefit payments in accordance with company policy and ensure proper documentation
- Foster collaborative relationships across departments, ensuring clear and professional communication
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting
- Excellent knowledge of Romanian labor law and statutory payroll requirements
- Experience with Oracle ERP systems is required
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles and month-end processes
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Excellent Excel skills; ability to work with large datasets and perform reconciliations
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to set ambitious goals and continuously strive for improvement/Demonstrates a strong focus on achieving high-quality outcomes, consistently pushing for greater efficiency and performance.
