Role overview

  • As Senior Enterprise Analyst you will be responsible for providing high quality analytical expertise, that supports the insight and smooth execution of key strategic initiatives, projects and programmes
  • This is a highly collaborative role, working across multiple teams, disciplines and locations, to understand business problems and translate these to business outcomes through the early stages of discovery and validation, as well as supporting delivery of projects and programmes as the requirements lead throughout the lifecycle
  • You will use your business acumen and analytical expertise to drive value and clarity, typically working on more complex cross tribe, cross brand projects and programmes
  • You will build strong relationships with colleagues across Technology and multiple Business teams to ensure priorities are clearly understood and communicated
  • You will demonstrate high levels of resilience and be very comfortable working with ambiguity; bringing people along on the change journey through effective stakeholder management
  • You will support the growth, development and success of the wider team through; coaching and mentoring, regularly demonstrating role model behaviours

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Programme Managers, Project Managers, and partners across the business to elicit, understand, document, and prioritise requirements
  • Utilise your experience to identify the appropriate analysis technique for the right stage in the product and/or change delivery lifecycle
  • Analyse sophisticated systems and complex processes to define clear and unambiguous business requirements, use cases, processes, and user journeys
  • Ensure problems are understood to the right level of detail and work with the project or programme team to define solution options
  • Validate the impact of change initiatives, raising project/programme risks and dependencies where appropriate
  • Utilise your deep understanding of the business and analytical techniques (e.g. value stream, strategy, scoping, feasibility, and Just in Time analysis) to drive value from solutions, diagnose problems, and understand needs, which aide in effective portfolio management, planning and delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement using best practice tools and techniques to aid communication and understanding, ensuring documentation is accurate and unambiguous
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business owners and stakeholders, acting as the primary ‘requirements’ contact for business change
  • Have confidence in tackling new business domains, building new relationships, and proposing improvements to processes which enable organisational agility
  • Always be inquisitive, looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes, championing the role of Enterprise Analysis and UKI Delivery
  • Coach and mentor other Enterprise Analysts, as well as engage with and support colleagues via various Communities of Practice and forums

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required

  • Experience of working on complex technology and business change initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of analysis methods and principles, with confidence in coaching others in those techniques
  • Experience of working with agile teams and more traditional delivery methodologies
  • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to influence teams with your knowledge and experience of delivery
  • Approachability, open mindedness and an ability to work well with people at all levels of the business
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple activities at a time
  • An analytical and inquisitive mindset with the ability to translate business cases and analysis into tangible outcomes
  • Naturally collaborative, with a desire to be part of a highly successful team rather than just a highly successful individual
  • Highly organised and self-motivated, with a desire to see a job through to conclusion
  • Great communicator who enjoys bringing people together to reach mutual tactical and/or strategic outcomes
  • Good understanding of strategy analysis, techniques, and best practice
