Job overview:
As a Head of Delivery for Casino within FanDuel technology, you will work as part of the Casino technical leadership team. Your main responsibilities will be to oversee the Casino program portfolio, program delivery strategies, insights and ways of working as well as the coordination of Technical Program Managers within your org, ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale programs across both Casino and the rest of the organisation. You will be responsible for technical dependency & risk management, leveraging your strong communication and relationship skills with stakeholders to ensure these are clearly communicated and understood. You will influence the larger Delivery management community at FanDuel, actively spending time collaborating on consistent best practices, insights and processes to improve and scale how FanDuel Delivery can succeed across the business.
Key responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Responsible for the program portfolio and its complex deliveries being managed effectively and aligned with business goals and strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product management, and other teams to manage program objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Risk Management: Ensure the team are proactively identifying risks and roadblocks in the program lifecycle, developing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
Strategic Planning: Plays a key role in strategic planning of the future portfolio. Drive the development and implementation of program strategies, aligning resources and efforts to meet key business and technical goals.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical management and executive stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and achievements.
Process Improvement: Continuously improve program management methodologies, tools, and processes to drive efficiency, predictability, and scalability across Casino and influence the wider business.
Leadership: Cultivates and fosters a collaborative team culture. Grows and looks after the careers of the managers and individual contributors on your team and across Casino and FanDuel.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, software development, or a related technical leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, cross-functional technical projects from inception to delivery.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, program management tools, the delivery lifecycle and software development processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in risk management, stakeholder engagement, supplier management and resource planning.
- Extensive people management experience with experience in managing managers.
Preferred skills:
- Technical background with an understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure or other related technical areas.
- Experience in leading distributed teams and managing complex program portfolios.
- Data insight / analytic skills
