QA Engineer (Automation) - FanDuel, Hybrid

Description

The role:

As a Mid QA Engineer you'll work with delivery teams to help facilitate the successful release of products and innovations to our customers. You'll have the opportunity to not only test our web and mobile applications, but also the inner workings of the FanDuel system. Whereas some organisations shy away from testing at each level of their technology stack, FanDuel actively encourages it. From service configurations to databases and APIs - there's always something new and challenging to test.

What will you do:

  • Design, develop and execute manual and automated tests;
  • Increase automated test coverage;
  • Contribute to the overall testing effort on projects;
  • Work on improvements to the existing automated test framework;
  • Ensure integrity, validity, testability of all product specifications;
  • Analyze software product and development process and provides input for decisions regarding the actions to be taken to ensure and enforce product quality;
  • Continuously strive to improve the efficiency and coverage of the QA processes;
  • Participate in all phases of development;
  • Offer creative solutions to challenging issues;

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • At least 3-4 year experience in software testing (web& mobile platforms preferably);
  • At least 2-3 year experience in automation testing;
  • At least 2-3 year experience with Javascript, Java, C#, Python or other programming language + expertise with any automation frameworks (WebdriverIO, Appium, Cypress or something similar);
  • Proven experience with Postman and/or API testing;
  • Understanding of the full development cycle (SDLC) and some experience of Agile development methodologies (Scrum);
  • Good understanding and experience in Continuous Integrations/Continuous Deployment (AWS/Azure Devops, Github Actions, Buildkite or other similar tools);
  • Good knowledge of software testing principles;
  • Proven diagnostic and debugging skills + Charles Proxy (or other similar tool);
  • Knowledge of basic OOP programming;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proactive work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines;
  • Strong skills in deadline management and ability to work in a team environment;
  • Good communication skills (English) are required (both verbal and written);
  • An eye for visual precision and attention to detail;
  • Experience with content management systems;
