The Corporate Real Estate team manages a property estate that spans 37 countries and 67 locations around the world. The CRE Risk & Compliance team is formed of Health & Safety and Physical Security subject matter experts who are responsible for the safety & security of people, assets and brand reputation of all our offices and manage the policies and standards for these working environments.
This role will be accountable for all physical security requirements of a portfolio of offices that have been defined by Flutter along with some health & safety activities. You will be tasked with analysing, monitoring, and responding to alerts raised that impact the safety and security of Flutter Entertainment assets, operations & employees as part of an ongoing physical security service.
You will work alongside local managers and be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing the competence of a team of security coordinators using a matrix model approach and ensuring that the physical security strategy is deployed at each office location.
This is a strategically driven and hands-on role, to help identify risk and compliance initiatives specific to the local businesses and implement innovative solutions that will help to remove roadblocks and allow teams to seamlessly execute. This role requires excellent stakeholder management, organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to clearly communicate and present information to seek buy-in.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a member of the Emergency Management Team and take a key role in incidents, emergencies, and crisis affecting the region assigned.
- Provide direction to a team that assumes primary responsibility for physical security at our office locations.
- Conduct security risk and threat assessments and prepares reports for offices in your region.
- Communicate regularly with senior stakeholders, ensuring that local leadership teams are appropriately informed of all risks to their business.
- Assume day-to-day responsibility for the implementation of all health, safety and security policies across your region.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security policies and applicable legislation across all office locations.
- Work with country leadership to gain insight on local regulations pertaining to physical security.
- Adhere to and apply all aspects of security regulations in a consistent manner.
- Participate in site visits to provide support in areas of risk management/assessment and other aspects of statutory compliance.
- Monitor, identify and respond to physical security or geopolitical events affecting or threatening Flutter Entertainment globally.
- Develop and train out standard operating procedures for personnel assigned to your offices to facilitate effective performance requirements.
- Provide support to business partners during emergency events, disruptions and support the escalation and global communication to all employees.
- Work closely with stakeholders for all Business Continuity, Resilience and Crisis Management activities.
- Maintains good working relations with external agencies including governmental and international agencies within the region.
- Investigates risk management and public relations issues across the region.
- Work with local managers to develop the competency of a team of Security Coordinators.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of five years’ experience managing security operations across different countries.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
- A proven record of accomplishment in customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise workload based on urgency; able to delegate tasks and communicate to a range of audiences including to executive management.
- A proven track record of training and mentoring a large team to successfully deliver the required company standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to ensure compliance, monitoring of assets, and make rapid notifications via mass communication tools.
- To be able to work independently and be confident in decision-making within Flutter Entertainment’s defined processes, and during sudden, unanticipated, or unprecedented events or crises.
- Demonstrate and deploy a sound understanding and application of technology and use a variety of technical platforms and systems in a conjoined way to deliver quick and accurate results.
- Passion for compliance and related disciplines.
- The ability to travel globally and spend quality time at each location within your portfolio.
