Senior Product Owner - Flutter Studios

Job Purpose

The Flutter Studios Technology Senior Product Owner will play a key role in the Product Creation Process and content pipeline within Flutter Studios Technology (FST). This role reports to the Manager, Product Owners and involves working closely alongside peers, developers, QA, Studios and Portfolio Managers in Flutter Studios as well as positively representing FST with Flutter Brand partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively work to align product roadmap to strategic goals
• Understand and build the technical requirements based on Business needs through discussions with stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Translates product requirements into functional requirements in a clear and concise manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
• Develop scope, prioritize, and assist in defining backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team
• Participate in the communications and support between the Studios, FST, QA and Flutter Brands stakeholders in a variety of time zones
• Monitor the progress of multiple concurrent projects and delivery flows and make agile adjustments to ensure the successful completion
• Provide timely status reports to management; proactively communicate any delay or blockers
• Solve product-related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis, and prioritize to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments
• Provide mentorship, support and coaching to more junior colleagues
• Any other requests coming from management

Skills and Capabilities:

• Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills, personal accountability, and ability to plan and multitask effectively
• Experience working with various stakeholders with the ability to effectively lead initiatives and coordinate between teams to deliver on a common goal and manage expectations
• Communicate effectively and credibly across a wide range of channels with senior stakeholders, ability to simplify complex issues/risks/plans with non-technical senior stakeholders
• Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering /development teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, and iterative development
• Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in technology, business or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA and other development tools is an asset
