As part of the Betfair Romania Development team, you will have the chance to work for one of the newest project allocated to our Center of Excellence. FanDuel Group is a collection of brands operating at the intersection of sports, gaming, tech, and entertainment. Responsibilities:
- Participation in a large-scale effort to redesign our existing promotion/generosity hub to the modern, scalable, and secure web technologies
- Review existing or create new functional and design specifications that provide for all business requirements
- Designing efficient algorithms and implementing those in code for supporting the entire SDLC, including source control management and delivery pipelines
- Design and development of web-based UI interfaces that will drive our extensive dynamic collection of web applications
- Review and investigate production issues
- Provide development status updates to various stakeholders
- Balance multiple priorities with minimal supervision while working under tight deadlines
Requirements:
- 5+ years of front-end development experience
- Exposure to full lifecycle on a production stage enterprise application delivery
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (ES5, ES6)
- Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React (3+ years)
- Understanding of key frontend design principles
- Experience leading front-end development including defining and implementing best practices, production of testable, readable code, and working with more junior colleagues to help them improve
- Understanding of the Flux architecture and experience working with Redux
- Experience working with Webpack and NPM
- Knowledge and working experience with code testing techniques (BDD, TDD)
- Ability to work with version control systems and CI systems
- Ability to work with JIRA, Confluence, or similar systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good spoken English
Nice to have :
- General interest in DevOps topics (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working with WebSockets
- Experience with RESTful Web Services (APIs)
- Understanding of SQL / NoSQL databases
- AngularJS, Django
