Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the infrastructure and workplace teams to develop, maintain & supervise the technical team who look after our global workplace IT systems and infrastructure
- Provide technical expertise in the design and engineering of corporate workplace IT systems, including the management of full-stack and hybrid environments, as well as on-prem and Azure Active Directories
- Work with Workplace Tech IT Architects to ensure the team deliver to the agreed cloud first standards
- As part of the cloud transformation programme assist Workplace Technology transition all services to the cloud and or SaaS
- Ensure the team are cloud first with new services and defined as code
- Support group-wide technology initiatives and be responsible for responding to faults and ensuring the stability, integrity and high levels of availability of our IT systems
- Collect and analyse requirements for new system deployments and expansions, and be responsible for IT system security hardening and SOC response.
- Take part in incident management workplace tech process
- Apply agile principles to manage planned and unplanned work, create, review and share documentation.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure)
- Experience in SaaS applications
- Knowledge of hybrid and B2B identity and access management solutions such as Azure B2 or Okta
- Strong technical proficiency in cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Office365) and desirable on-prem to cloud migrations
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and technologies, including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate management & IIS
- Experience with Microsoft PowerShell
- In-depth technical knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere and virtual data center
- Experience with SAN implementations and Veeam backup technologies would be preferable
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Ability to prioritize and work within tight time scales to meet deadlines
- Excellent customer-facing skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to travel and work extra hours as required
- Participate in an out of hours on-call rota
